Secret Service Agent Robbed at Gunpoint During Presidential Visit to LA

While President Joe Biden was in the state for a fundraiser on Saturday night, a U.S. Secret Service agent was reportedly the victim of an armed robbery.

To increase his war fund before facing Donald Trump again in November, Biden traveled to Los Angeles with First Lady Jill Biden, former President Barack Obama, Jimmy Kimmel, George Clooney, and other prominent people.

The heist occurred in Tustin, California at approximately 9:30 p.m. as the agent was on his way back from an assignment. The Secret Service claims that their agent’s suitcase was taken at gunpoint.

The incident involved an agent firing his weapon; however, the suspect may not have been injured, according to the Secret Service.

“A member of the U.S. Secret Service was the victim of an armed robbery in Tustin, California late Saturday when returning from a work assignment. The employee discharged their service weapon during the incident but unknown if the assailants were struck. We are thankful that the employee did not sustain any injuries.” the agency noted in a statement.

Republicans have repeatedly highlighted the issue of rising crime under Biden, particularly in California.

This episode appears to provide conservatives with even more evidence for their contentions.
