Trump Pulls His Endorsement of Mo Brooks in Alabama Senate Race

Former President Donald Trump has pulled his endorsement of Alabama Senate candidate Mo Brooks (R. – Ala.) CNBC reports.

Brooks currently serves in the United States House of Representatives and recently issued a call for fellow Republicans to stop obsessing over thew 2020 election results – seven months ago. Trump cited this as his reason.

However, Brooks is currently in third place in the race and has actually been a strong supporter of his and of his election claims.

Trump said in his statement, “Mo Brooks of Alabama made a horrible mistake recently when he went ‘woke’ and stated, referring to the 2020 Presidential Election Scam, ‘Put that behind you, put that behind you,’ despite the fact that the Election was rife with fraud and irregularities.”

Trump said that Brooks statement actually is why his polling lead vanished, claiming his lead “totally evaporated all based on his ’2020′ statement at our massive rally in Cullman.”

It is unclear if Trump will make another endorsement in the race after pulling Brooks’ who was one of 140 legislators who voted against accepting Biden’s wins in key states.
