Senior Legal Analyst Elie Honig admitted that the investigation into Donald Trump by New York Attorney General Letitia James is in fact “politicized.”
James is investigating Trump’s business practices and Donald Trump recently pleaded the fifth during a deposition in the case, The Daily Caller reports.
Honig stated, “I think it’s worth noting here, John, Letitia James has politicized this investigation. She campaigned on ‘vote for me and I’ll nail Donald Trump.’ She had fundraised on it so that is not a ridiculous fear for him to have.”
James investigation into the Trump organization has been going on since 2019.

Specifically, she is looking into bank, tax, and insurance fraud she alledges the organization committed.
Trump has failed to get the case tossed for it being politically motivated despite James campaigning on investigating Trump claiming that she “will be shining a bright light into every dark corner of his real estate dealings, and every dealing, demanding truthfulness at every turn.”
