Ivanka Trump, daughter of former US President Donald Trump and a political adviser in his administration, has now stated on Instagram that she has no intentions of participating in her father’s 2024 presidential campaign.
Ivanka currently lives and works in the private sector in Miami, a situation which she has described positively.
Ivanka Trump and her husband, Jared Kushner, who counseled the former president and was charged with bringing peace to the Middle East, have three children.
Ivanka’s remarks follow her father’s announcement of his third presidential candidacy on Tuesday night.
Ivanka and Donald Trump Jr. did not attend their father’s announcement event at Mar-a-Lago.
Jared Kushner and Kimberly Guilfoyle, on the other hand, came to express their support.
Tiffany Trump, who just married, also did not attend her father’s announcement.
During her tenure in the Trump administration, Ivanka advocated for programs that increased economic possibilities for working families, including a doubling of the child tax credit, child care assistance, workforce development, and paid family leave.
Ivanka spearheaded legislation that more than quadrupled the child tax credit and increased eligibility, while also successfully campaigning for the greatest expansion of Child Care and Development Block Grants in history.
Ivanka also pushed with lawmakers to win 12 weeks of paid family leave for government employees. She also participated in COVID talks to guarantee that small company employees had paid sick leave to care for themselves or sick family members.
For his part, after working in the Trump administration on the Abraham Accords, which officials billed as a “historic peace pact” between Israel and the United Arab Emirates that normalized Middle East relations, Jared Kushner recently founded The Abraham Accords Peace Institute last year.
