Former President Trump reportedly slammed Fox Television on Tuesday for its coverage of Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis’ political rise (R).
“So interesting to watch FoxNews cover the small and unenthusiastic 139 person crowd in Staten Island for DeSantis, but stay as far away as possible from coverage of the thousands of people, many unable to get in, at the Club 47 event in West Palm Beach, Florida,” Trump wrote on his Truth Social network.
“I call FoxNews the RINO Network, and their DOWN BIG Ratings accurately reflect the name. If FAKE NEWS CNN was smart, which they’re not, they’d go Conservative & “All Trump, All the Time,” like in 2016, and become a Ratings Juggernaut,” he continued.
During his presidency, Trump could usually depend on prominent Fox News anchors – the highest-rated cable news station in 2022 — to pour plaudits on him and his government.
While several of Fox News’ top personalities continue to back Trump, the network’s news segments regarding the former president have been more cold in recent months.
Several hosts have also expressed interest in DeSantis, who is generally anticipated to explore running for the GOP presidential nomination in 2024.
Elsewhere, Trump lashed out at the New York Post on Sunday when it ran a profile of DeSantis in a similar fashion.
