Elon Musk, the chief executive officer of Twitter, has now reportedly stated his belief that former President Donald Trump will gain a significant amount of support in the presidential election of 2024, and will in fact win in a ‘landslide,’ if he is formally indicted.
According to recent reports, law enforcement agencies at the local, state, and federal levels are preparing for Trump to be indicted as early as next week as part of an investigation into hush money payments made to former porn star Stormy Daniels during the 2016 election cycle.
The investigation is being conducted by Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg.
If Trump is found guilty of the charges against him, it will be the first time in the history of the United States that a former president has been prosecuted for a criminal violation.
Trump has repeatedly denied any wrongdoing and asserted that he is the victim of a politically motivated witch hunt. He urged his followers to participate in the demonstration.
In November, as a reaction to a poll taken by the general public, Musk readmitted Trump to Twitter.
Although Trump has not used the social media network since that time, he did make a post on Facebook for the first time since the events of January 6, 2021, potentially hinting that a return to the platform that helped him win the Presidency in 2016 may not be that far off.
