Last week, the chief political strategist for Virginia Governor Glenn Youngkin reportedly joined a political organization that is encouraging Florida Governor Ron DeSantis to run for president in 2024.
Jeff Roe, the founder of Axiom Strategies, is now working for Never Back Down, which was launched earlier this month by Ken Cuccinelli.
Cuccinelli previously served in the Trump administration as acting deputy secretary of Homeland Security and acting director of the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services.
It has been suggested that Youngkin, who triumphed in a hard-fought race in 2021 in a state that had turned solidly blue in the preceding years, may run for the Republican nomination in 2024.
The Never Back Down PAC is not affiliated with DeSantis, who is not anticipated to announce whether or not he will run for president until until the completion of the legislative session in Florida on May 5.
During an interview that took place this week with Piers Morgan, DeSantis stated that he has not yet made a conclusive decision on whether or not he would run for the White House.
