George Soros Denies ‘Knowning’ Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg

George Soros is now reportedly denying that he ‘knows’ Manhattan district attorney Alvin Bragg.

Although the leftist billionaire has denied that he knows Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg or has donated money to him, Bragg was assisted in his campaign efforts by a group that Soros funds.

On Thursday, Bragg indicted former President Donald Trump on eight counts of obstruction of justice.

In the midst of the ongoing legal processes about the alleged hush money payments that Trump made to porn star Stormy Daniels during the 2016 election campaign, Bragg has urged President Trump to turn himself in to authorities in New York so that he may be arraigned on Tuesday.

The case, which skeptics have characterized as politically motivated due to the fact that Bragg has earned a reputation for his lenient approach to crime with regard to violent offenses, has induced additional scrutiny into Soros and his Open Society Foundation, which promotes Left-wing justice and education initiatives around the world.

According to a recent study, Soros has contributed more than forty million dollars over the course of the previous decade to support the election campaigns of various left-leaning prosecutors located all across the country.

On Friday, he responded to the fresh criticism by asserting that he has never met Bragg and has never personally backed him. This was his response to the accusations.

However, according to the public records, Soros gave a donation of one million dollars to the Color of Change PAC on May 14, 2021.

Although the Color of Change PAC technically never contributed directly to the campaign of candidate Bragg, it endorsed the candidate on May 8, 2021 and pledged to spend at least one million dollars on voter turnout initiatives, direct mail, and other activities in support of Bragg.

In addition, the Open Society Policy Center, which receives funding from Soros, gave seven million dollars in the year 2021 to the social welfare group that is affiliated with Color of Change.

On April 26, 2021, and April 29, 2021, donations in the amount of $20,000 were made to the Bragg campaign by Jonathan Soros, who is the son of George Soros, and Jennifer Soros, who is his daughter-in-law.

In the months running up to the election, they also gave a number of smaller contributions that added up to less than $1,000 in total. Bragg’s victory in the primary election was decided by a margin of fewer than four percentage points.

Thus, it appears Soros’ claim to not personally know Bragg, while technically being true, is, at best, extremely misleading.
