Tourists Killed in String of Brutal Attacks in Mexican Resort Town

A tourist from Canada was reportedly shot and killed in a beach town in Mexico only days after another tourist from Argentina was slain with a machete in the same vacation region on Mexico’s Pacific coast.

According to the public prosecutors in the state of Oaxaca in Mexico, a Canadian man was discovered dead in a vehicle on Monday with a bullet wound in the town of Puerto Escondido, which is a laid-back beach resort that is famous among surfers.

The individual was named as Victor Masson, and he was 27 years old. However, there was no information provided about the particular circumstances behind the man’s death.

Three days before to the killing of Masson, a tourist from Argentina was killed in an assault with a machete in the state of Oaxaca, which is generally regarded to be one of the safer areas in Mexico.

The attack took place in the hamlet of La Isla, which is approximately 60 miles west of Puerto Escondido.

Since the beginning of 2023, there have been many instances of criminal activity involving visitors.
