When Fox News White House Correspondent Peter Doocy inquired about the potential of Donald Trump receiving a pardon, President Joe Biden reportedly seemed to find it rather amusing.
Special Counsel Jack Smith is presently looking into Trump’s unlawful retention of official papers after leaving office as part of a federal inquiry.
Smith is also looking at the former president’s desperate attempt to rig the 2020 election in order to retain power.
Ron DeSantis, the governor of Florida and Trump’s rival for the Republican presidential candidate, said on Thursday that if elected president, he may pardon some of the defendants from the Jan. 6 incident as well as Trump himself.
Doocy questioned Biden on the governor’s remarks on Monday.
“Did you see that Ron DeSantis said that if he became president, he would pardon Trump? Where are you on the idea of the president pardoning Trump?” Doocy asked Biden.
In response Biden appeared to laugh before turning away.
“I’ll see you guys. That’s a great question.” Biden said before walking to the Presidential helicopter.
