Given Ron DeSantis’ lackluster showing, Steve Doocy of Fox News reportedly said that Governor Glenn Youngkin (R-VA) should run in the 2024 Republican primary.
Doocy brought up the fact that the DeSantis campaign allegedly had a retreat over the weekend to concentrate on overhauling his political organization as Fox & Friends addressed the condition of the primary race.
Doocy recognized that the Florida governor has not yet been able to catch up to Donald Trump because of the former president’s substantial polling advantage.
Doocy continued by mentioning Youngkin’s “record-high approval rating,” making a strong allusion to the governor’s potential for running for president.
Doocy’s remarks follow allegations that Youngkin is Fox News owner Rupert Murdoch’s preferred candidate for the 2024 election.
The chairman of News Corp is allegedly upset with DeSantis’ campaign strategy and worried about what may happen if either DeSantis or Trump continue to lead the Republican Party.
