On Wednesday, President Biden reportedly yelled at Fox News’ Peter Doocy in response to a question on the president’s son, Hunter Biden, and his professional activities.
“There’s this testimony now where one of your son’s former business associates is claiming that you were on speakerphone a lot with them talking business,” Doocy said to Biden during a recent public event.
“I never talked business with anybody. And I knew you’d have a lousy question.” Biden fired back.
“What makes it a lousy question?” Doocy said in response.
“Because it’s not true.” Biden snapped.
The query seems to be a reference to a transcript of a recent House Oversight Committee hearing with Devon Archer, a former Hunter Biden business colleague.
The interview with the committee discussed the Biden “brand” extensively. Archer informed the panel that Hunter Biden placed his father, the vice president at the time, on speakerphone during certain meetings with business contacts.
The vice president’s son is accused by Republicans in Congress and prominent conservative media commentators of profiting financially from his father’s position as a longtime senator and vice president.
They have been outraged over Hunter Biden’s business transactions for months.
Doocy has often used his line of inquiry to make the president uncomfortable.
The network received a harsh reprimand from the government earlier this month after one of its prominent prime-time commentators, Greg Gutfeld, made comments about the Holocaust that the White House referred to as “an obscenity.”
Currently touring the West Coast, Biden is promoting his economic agenda and other significant legislative successes from his first two and a half years in office.
