In a series of social media posts published Sunday afternoon, former President Trump reportedly lambasted Rupert Murdoch’s leading American media outlets.
The former president notably targeted Fox, criticizing the network for a multi-million dollar settlement it made with Dominion Voting Systems in April as a result of Trump’s allegations of fraud against the firm that were broadcast on the network.
“The Wall Street Journal and FoxNews keep pushing the narrative, through Trey Gowdy and others, that “BOTH” Crooked Joe Biden and 45th President Donald J. Trump are unpopular within their own Party. This happens to be true for Crooked Joe, where they won’t even let RFK Jr. have his votes fairly counted (more RIGGING, and STEALING Elections!), but VERY untrue for “TRUMP,” where I have a 90% Approval Rating, and am crushing the “second tier” candidates by 50, 60, and even 70 Points. THAT’S POPULAR!” Trump wrote on his Truth Social platform.
Trump bemoaned Fox’s coverage of his support among Republican voters and the general public in his final social media message from late Sunday.
The former president has been fighting Murdoch, the Journal, and Fox News especially for months, and his latest attack was a late-night social media rant.
Because of what he claims to be a “hostile” relationship with Fox, the network that hosted the debate in Milwaukee, Trump, the front-runner for the Republican nomination for president, skipped the first GOP debate last month.
Trump has also stated that he wwill not be present at the second debate on September 27.
