This week, Texas Governor Greg Abbott reportedly posted a video to social media showing President Joe Biden’s Border Patrol severing razor wire that the state of Texas had installed along the Rio Grande to prevent illegal immigration.
The Texas Border Czar, Mike Banks, published a video on Thursday showing Texas National Guard soldiers replacing barbed wire that the Biden Administration had cut in Eagle Pass.
4,000 illegal aliens reportedly infiltrated the area on Wednesday, and at one point the line extended five miles and entered Mexico.
Mayor Rolando Salinas, a Democrat who serves as mayor of Eagle Pass, issued a local disaster declaration to provide additional resources to combat the crisis.
The Biden administration has not yet released official immigration numbers for the month of August, but reports indicate that the numbers have climbed back to their May high.
From Friday to Monday, an estimated daily average of 9,000 immigrants crossed the southern border.
On Monday alone, over 9,700 illegal immigrants crossing the southern border and entering through ports of entry were reportedly apprehended or processed.
