In the wake of the deadly Hamas strikes on Israel, Sunny Hostin, co-host of “The View,” compared Hamas to the Proud Boys on Friday’s installment of the program.
“I think that we all know that Hamas has been designated a terror organization just like many other terror organizations have this designation, like the Proud Boys here in the United States.” Hostin said.
According to the State Department, the Secretary of State classified Hamas a “Foreign Terrorist Organization” in October 1997.
The Proud Boys have been categorized as a hate group by the far-left Southern Poverty Law Center but not as a terror organization in the United States.
However, in Canada and New Zealand, it carries such designation.
Since Hamas attacked Israel heavily early on Saturday, the White House has regularly referred to Hamas as a “terrorist organization.”
Since Saturday, more than 1,300 Israelis and 1,900 Palestinians have died.
