Senator John Fetterman (D-Pennsylvania) stated in no uncertain terms that he is uninterested in hearing from Democrats who are concerned that Joe Biden may lose the 2024 presidential election.
The Pennsylvania senator vulgarly criticized veteran Democratic strategist James Carville in an interview with Politico published on Wednesday for raising the alarm about Biden’s 2024 prospects.
“I’ll use this [as] another opportunity to tell James Carville to shut the f*ck up. My man hasn’t been relevant since grunge was a thing. And I don’t know why he believes it’s helpful to say these kinds of things about an incredibly difficult circumstance with an incredibly strong and decent and excellent president.” Fetterman said.
Carville has cautioned Democrats for months that Biden may lose in the fall of 2020. Carville told CNN on December 13 that he was “extremely pessimistic” regarding Biden’s chances.
When Politico requested Carville’s reaction to Fetterman’s remark that he is irrelevant, Carville objected, noting that two Senate Democrats seeking re-election have solicited his assistance in their campaigns.
