On Monday, the White House indicated that President Joe Biden will not undergo a cognitive test as part of his yearly physical examination.
This decision comes in defiance of the substantial doubt expressed by many voters regarding his mental fitness to continue serving for a second term.
In his criminal investigation into Biden’s handling of classified information, Special Counsel Robert Hur concluded last week that although Biden “willfully retained and disclosed classified materials,” no criminal charges were warranted. Prosecutors also considered that, at trial, Mr. Biden would likely present himself to a jury…”as a sympathetic, well-meaning elderly man with a poor memory.
House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre confirmed that Biden will undergo his yearly physical examination, though she could not provide an exact timeframe.
When pressed on if Biden had taken a cognitive test as part of his physical exam, Jean-Pierre stated that Biden’s doctor allegedly believes that the president “proves every day how he operates, how he thinks by dealing with world leaders, by making really difficult decisions on behalf of the — the American people, whether it’s domestic, whether it’s national security.”
“And so, he shows it every day on how he thinks, how he operates. And so, that is how — that is how Dr. O’Connor sees it. And that’s how I’m going to leave it.” she added.
