Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) issued a cautionary message following Friday’s 4.8 magnitude earthquake, which originated in New Jersey and was felt across the Northeast. According to Greene, this seismic event should serve as a wake-up call for Americans to reflect and make amends.
In the aftermath of the 4.8 magnitude earthquake that sent tremors through buildings and unsettled residents from New York City to Washington D.C., the Georgia congresswoman took to X (formerly Twitter) to share her thoughts.
“God is sending America strong signs to tell us to repent. Earthquakes and eclipses and many more things to come. I pray that our country listens.” Greene wrote in a post on the X platform.
The Republican politician has been open about her Christian beliefs and tendency to favor what some believe are conspiracy theories when trying to make sense of complicated or unfortunate occurrences.
