Illegitimate immigrant crossings along the northern frontier of the United States and Canada are now reportedly approaching a previous record that was established only a year ago.
As of October 2023, Customs and Border Patrol agents have documented 9,460 unauthorized border crossings along the northern border for the fiscal year 2024.
Already approaching the milestone set during the fiscal year of 2023, the number of recorded illicit border crossings amounted to 10,021.
As summer approaches and the 2024 fiscal year progresses, there is optimism that the number of unauthorized border crossings along the northern border will surpass the previous year’s tally.
Amidst the northern boundary, the Swanton boundary Patrol Sector, which encompasses portions of New York, Vermont, and New Hampshire, has been among the busiest.
Certain inhabitants residing along the northern border have taken to concealing their firearms as a precautionary measure against groups of unauthorized immigrants traversing the frontier.
The influx of unauthorized immigrants at the northern frontier coincides with unprecedented levels of illegal immigration in the United States during the Biden administration, when an estimated 1.7 million illegal immigrant escapes and over 9.5 million encounters with the country’s borders occurred.
A consequence of the significant surge in unauthorized border incursions along the southern border is the reassignment of certain Border Patrol agents from northern sectors to the southern sector, thereby increasing the vulnerability of the United States-Canada border.
Additionally, under Biden, the number of foreign-born individuals residing in the United States has skyrocketed to an all-time high of 51.6 million, an increase of 6.6 million since the Democrat assumed office.
The principal catalyst for the rise has been unauthorized immigration.
