Trump Campaign Celebrates Almost Unbelievable $141 Million Fundraising Haul in Wake of Guilty Verdict

On Monday, the Trump campaign disclosed that it had raised $141 million in May in conjunction with the Republican National Committee (RNC).

This impressive sum was partially attributed to an increase in donations following the former president’s conviction on 34 felony counts in New York.

The RNC and the campaign received over 2 million donations for the month, with 25% of the donors being first-time donors.

According to Trump officials, in addition to the $141 million that the campaign raised, approximately $150 million was raised by other organizations that supported Trump.

In the 24 hours following a jury’s verdict of guilty on all 34 felony counts of falsifying business records during his 2016 campaign to conceal alleged affairs, Trump received $53 million in online donations, which accounted for more than one-third of his fundraising total for May.

The substantial sum is expected to bridge the cash disparity between the Trump campaign and the Biden campaign, which has yet to disclose its May fundraising figures.

In April, President Biden’s campaign amassed $51 million in revenue and maintained $192 million in cash reserves. Biden’s campaign was outraised by Trump in April; however, it was still millions of dollars ahead in terms of currency on hand.
