This week, Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) responded to an explosive news story that disclosed that multiple individuals with suspected ties to ISIS have been arrested across the U.S. in recent days after illegally entering the U.S. southern border. Cruz termed the incident a “big damn deal.”
Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) personnel apprehended the eight suspected ISIS terrorists in Philadelphia, Los Angeles, and New York City over the weekend.
“This story is a big damn deal. We have eight suspected terrorists, with ISIS-K, who’ve been arrested. Now they came into this country illegally at our southern border. The Biden administration apprehended them, and then they let them go. They let terrorists go.” ” Cruz remarked during his recent “Verdict” podcast.
“And I’ve been saying for a long time, we are at a greater risk of a major terrorist attack in the United States right now than we have been any time since September 11,” he continued.
The senator further stated that he is of the opinion that the border policies of President Joe Biden are the reason why terrorists will eventually launch an attack on U.S. soil.
