New Fox News Polls Shows Biden Now Ahead of Trump

President Biden reportedly leads former President Trump by two points in a nationwide presidential election poll released by Fox News on Wednesday, taking the lead for the first time since October.

A slim majority (50%) of respondents said they would vote for Biden in November, while 48% said they would vote for Trump.

It’s a 3-point increase for Biden over last month’s Fox News survey, which showed Trump leading by one point.

Wednesday’s survey marks Biden’s first 50 percent support in this election cycle, and his first lead over Trump in a Fox poll since October 2023.

When third-party candidates are included in the poll, Biden leads Trump by one point, 43% to 42%.

Independents Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and Cornel West garnered 10% and 2% support, respectively, while Green candidate Jill Stein received 2%.

In a May poll of the field, Trump led by three points.

The poll could reflect the impact of Trump’s felony conviction earlier this month, as polls have shown Biden gaining on — and at times surpassing — the former president.

Biden leads Trump by 9 points among independent voters, who are one of the most important demographics in this election. That’s an 11-point increase from May, when they preferred Trump by two points.

The poll indicated that Biden had 45 percent job approval.

The Fox News poll surveyed over 1,100 registered voters nationwide, with a margin of error of nearly 3 percent.
