On Friday, the House Republicans’ campaign arm reportedly declared that it had surpassed its reco00rd for the second quarter of an election year in terms of funding.

The largest-ever fundraising total for House Republicans in the second quarter of an election year was reported by the National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) to have been $37 million in April, May, and June of this year.

According to the NRCC, the campaign arm raised $14.3 million in June alone and has about $71 million in the bank at the conclusion of the quarter. To date, the cycle has raised close to $162 million.

Committees have till Monday to report on their fundraising efforts for the second quarter of this year.

The campaign arm of the House Democrats has not yet made public its quarterly fundraising totals.

With over a dozen House Democrats and one sitting Senate Democrat calling on President Biden to get out of the race after his appalling debate performance, the news comes against a backdrop of growing danger for both the president and the Democrats.

Several independent election analysts have changed Michigan’s prediction from “lean Democrat” to “toss up” after the debate, highlighting the abrupt change in the race’s dynamics.

Overall the situation continues to grow more and more bleak for Democrats and more and more positive for the GOP.
