‘Morning Joe’ Squad Pulled From Air After Assassination Attempt on Trump

In response to an attempted assassination of former President Donald Trump over the weekend, MSNBC has now reportedly canceled its left-leaning chat show “Morning Joe” on Monday.

Despite the commencement of the Republican National Convention, Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski’s progressive program will not air on Monday morning and will return on Tuesday.

According to a person with knowledge of the situation, the reason the show was canceled was to save one of the hundreds of visitors from making a crude remark live that would have damaged the reputation of both the network and the show.

It made more sense, the insider told CNN, to keep airing breaking news programming instead.

Scarborough, Brzezinski, and MSNBC president Rashida Jones decided to cancel the program together on Monday morning, as did Cesar Conde, head of NBCUniversal News Group.

The hosts of the liberal MSNBC morning show have said clearly how they feel about the election.

The Monday following President Biden’s abject performance in the debate, Brzezinski began the program with a fifteen-minute rant defending the incumbent.
