According to a new poll, former President Donald Trump maintains a substantial advantage in the critical battleground states that are anticipated to determine the 2024 election.
In seven of the nine states that were surveyed, Trump is currently leading the newly-minted presumptive Democratic nominee Kamala Harris, according to a survey conducted by Redfield & Wilton Strategies and The Telegraph from July 22 to 24.
Trump maintains a three-point lead in Arizona (46%-43%), eight in Florida (47%-39%), five in Georgia (47%-42%), three in Michigan (44%-41%), two in Nevada (45%-43%), three in North Carolina (46%-43%), and four in Pennsylvania (46%-42%).
Nevertheless, Harris maintains a three-point advantage in Minnesota (44%-41%), a state in which no Republican has won since Richard Nixon in 1972.
Republicans have included Minnesota in their target territory this year and have managed to tie Trump in Wisconsin (44% each).
The tracking poll of 6,927 voters suggests that Harris performed better in Arizona, Nevada, and North Carolina than President Joe Biden did against Trump in the previous week’s survey.
However, she performed worse in Florida and Michigan, and had the same performance in Georgia, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin. Minnesota is a recent addition to the poll.
Despite the fact that Democrats have benefited from Harris’s ascension to the top of the ticket, Redfield & Wilton’s findings are largely consistent with other polls that have found that Trump maintains a strong lead.
