REPORT: Iran Trying to Sabotage Trump’s Presidential Campaign

The Islamic Republic of Iran is now reportedly attempting to undermine the presidential campaign of former President Donald Trump out of concern that his administration would implement severe measures against the world’s foremost state sponsor of terrorism.

During a press briefing, an official from the Office of the Director of National Intelligence stated that U.S. intelligence has observed Tehran attempting to influence the presidential election in order to avoid being held accountable by the United States.

The terrorist proxy groups of Iran have significantly escalated their aggression against Israel and the United States in the Middle East over the past year under President Joe Biden, following Hamas’ unprecedented terrorist attack on October 7.

The Wall Street Journal reported that Iran had intended to act as a “chaos agent” in the election just a few weeks ago.

However, their plan has recently been revised to focus on and harm Trump’s campaign.

The report stated that the online campaigns involve efforts to actively engage with U.S. citizens and influence their opinions regarding the election.

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, a designated terrorist organization that is accountable to Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, is suspected of being responsible for the endeavor.

Iran has also been attempting to assassinate Trump since the strike that resulted in the death of senior Iranian commander Qasem Soleimani in January 2020.
