Anita Dunn, a former adviser to President Biden, has reportedly criticized “certain leaders” for the Democratic Party’s loss of the House in 2022.
This statement follows former Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s statement that she has never been that impressed with Biden’s “political operation.”
During an interview with Politico’s “Playbook Deep Dive” podcast, Dunn, a seasoned Biden aide, was interviewed regarding her new position with Democratic super PAC Future Forward and her efforts to elect Vice President Harris.
She emphasized the necessity for Democrats to prevail in their respective House and Senate elections.
“The task in front of us is to win this election and to not let Donald Trump become president again and to win the House of Representatives, which, had certain leaders in 2022 done a slightly better job, maybe we would control today, but we don’t,” Dunn said.
“That is the job ahead of us. And it’s critical because, as the president has said, this country is at an inflection point.” she added.
Earlier this week, Pelosi, who is purported to have worked behind the scenes to secure Biden’s withdrawal from the Democratic ticket, stated that she has not spoken to the president since he made his announcement.
