According to a new survey released on Wednesday, the favorability rating of former President Trump has increased by 5 percentage points in the past month.
In September, the Gallup poll indicates that Trump’s favorability has rebounded, returning to the levels observed in June, prior to President Biden’s withdrawal from the campaign.
In the most recent survey, approximately 46% of respondents expressed a favorable opinion of the Republican nominee, a decrease from 41% in August.
Harris, who ascended to the summit of the ticket following Biden’s resignation, experienced a decline in her favorability, which decreased from 47 percent to 44 percent in the most recent poll.
Gallup, despite the fluctuation in favorability, suggests that both White House candidates are underwater.
The pollster discovered that 53 percent of Americans have an unfavorable view of Trump, which is slightly lower than Harris’s 54 percent.
The majority of independents appear to be unfavorable toward both party nominees; however, the former president maintains a roughly 10-point advantage.
The poll revealed that approximately 44% of independents expressed a favorable opinion of Trump, while 35% expressed the same for the Democratic nominee.
The margin of error for the Gallup poll, which was conducted from September 3 to 15 among 1,007 Americans, is 4 percentage points at the 95 percent confidence level.
