Bret Baier Claims Trump Holding Up Fox News Debate With Kamala Harris

In reference to a potential Fox News debate between former President Donald Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris, Fox News anchor Bret Baier reportedly referred to him as the “holdup.”

Baier informed radio presenter Hugh Hewitt on Tuesday that he is of the opinion that the Harris campaign would do a Fox News debate.

“The latest is, I actually believe — this is me talking — that the Harris campaign would do a Fox debate” Baier said.

“Now, his reasoning, don’t know. I always thought that it would be like a bug zapper in the backyard for the former president in that he couldn’t get away from the light of 70 million viewers and that he would have to eventually, just knowing him, you know, do it if it was on Fox and something he could agree to. I’m getting the sense from him and the campaign that they aren’t moving past it, and really, the holdup is not the Harris campaign and Fox; it is the former president,” he added.

Despite claiming that it was his strongest debate performance, Trump declared that there would be no additional debates following a Sept. 10 debate on ABC News.

Harris, on the other hand, consented to participate in a CNN debate on October 23.

Following Trump’s announcement that there would be no further debates, that agreement was reached.

Trump consented to a Fox News proposition for a debate prior to the ABC News debate; however, the proposal was never implemented.
