Fox Weather Reporter Saves Woman Trapped by Hurricane Floodwaters During Live Broadcast

While reporting live on Fox & Friends about the flooding in Atlanta caused by Hurricane Helene, Bob Van Dillen of Fox Weather was interrupted by the screams of a woman who was trapped in her vehicle.

Van Dillen was submitting a live report on the extensive inundation that occurred in the vicinity during the 7 a.m. hour.

The urgent cries for assistance emanating from a vehicle that was immobilized on a flooded road in the background of the live shot were audible to Fox News viewers.

According to Van Dillen, the woman “drove directly into the flood waters.” He also informed Fox & Friends that 911 had been contacted and that the local Fire Department was en route.

However, the cries persisted as he continued to compile the report. Consequently, Van Dillen terminated the live shot in order to investigate whether he could provide assistance to the woman in distress.

After approximately 10 minutes, Fox & Friends broadcast live footage of Van Dillen transporting the woman to safety. She awoke in chest-deep water as the inundation enveloped her vehicle in the background.
