Trump Responds to Killing of Hamas Leader Sinwar

On Friday afternoon, following his arrival at a campaign stop in Michigan, former President Donald Trump was reportedly questioned by a reporter about Israel’s assassination of Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar.

Trump had yet to address the killing of the October 7th mastermind during a public address.

“My reaction is, he was not a good person. That’s my reaction. That’s sometimes what happens,” Trump said.

Additionally, Trump was asked as to whether he had communicated with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

“He’s called me. I have not spoken with him. He’s doing a good job. I’m glad Bibi decided to do what he had to do but it’s moving along pretty good,” Trump said.

When asked how he thought Sinwar’s death may effect peace negotiations in the region, Trump concluded: “I think it makes it easier. I’m glad that Bibi (Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu) decided to do what he had to do.”
