Minnesota’s Governor Tim Walz is said to have had a clandestine romance with a high-ranking Chinese Communist Party (CCP) official’s daughter during the 1980s.
Jenna Wang shared with the Daily Mail that she was 24 when the Democrat lawmaker, wooed her with gifts and “seduced” her.
Wang explained that displaying affection publicly was off-limits due to her father Bin Hui’s top position within the CCP, and could have caused him to disown her.
She believed that the loved her and promised a new life in America through marriage.
“We were deeply in love and I wanted to marry him and start a family. When it didn’t happen, I felt very unhappy and sad,” Wang told the outlet. “Tim’s behavior was very selfish.”
Wang said Vice President Harris’ running mate’s actions made her feel “like a prostitute,” and left her spiraling into a depression.
The governor has faced criticism regarding his multiple trips to China and incorrect claims about witnessing the Tiananmen Square massacre.
“We talked for hours and hours, we stayed in bed, we had sex. He continued to buy me gifts,” Wang recalled, noting social norms prevented her from staying overnight and her father would have been furious.
When Wang pushed Walz about a future together in the U.S., he allegedly implied she was only after a U.S. passport.
“This was very offensive,” she stated. “I wasn’t giving up my life and my position to move to Nebraska, a cold place in the middle of nowhere that most Chinese people had never heard of. I was giving it up to be with Tim, to get married and start a family.”
Wang said, “Knowing now that he wasn’t going to marry me made me feel cheap and common, as if I was being treated like a prostitute.”
When Walz attempted to communicate again, Wang insisted she was emotionally numb and would not “force” him to love her. “I never saw Tim again,” she remarked.
She asserted that Walz has “lied” about various aspects of his past, and lacks the “character and integrity” for such a significant role on the global stage.
