New Poll Shows 53 Percent of Americans Now Approve of Trump’s Plans

The results of a new survey conducted by the Pew Research Center and published on Friday indicate that more than half of the population is now in agreement with the objectives and programs that President-elect Trump has outlined for his future second term in the White House.

According to the results of the survey, fifty-three percent of America’s population is either “somewhat” or “strongly” in agreement with the goals that the president-elect has for the future. It was disproved by around 46%.

In terms of the economy, foreign policy, immigration, and criminal justice, the respondents have expressed trust in Trump’s ability to handle these issues; however, they have not shown as much confidence in his ability to handle abortion.

Fifty-nine percent of Americans, or nearly six out of ten, have expressed that they are “somewhat” or “very” confident that Trump would make sound decisions about economic policy.

In terms of criminal justice, almost 54 percent of respondents echoed the same sentiment, while 53 percent of respondents expressed confidence in his management of foreign affairs and immigration, as indicated by the poll.

On the other hand, forty-five percent (45%) were optimistic about the future approach that the president-elect will take to abortion.

After a difficult campaign against Vice President Harris, a little less than half of the population, or 41 percent, believes that Trump will be able to bring the country together.

With regard to the new commander in chief, the remaining 59% of respondents had very little to no confidence.

Within the United States, approximately fifty-two percent of people have expressed the opinion that it is “extremely or very important” for the Republican president to make an effort to reach out to Harris’s voters in order to reunite the country.

When asked about the potential outreach, around thirty percent of respondents stated that it is “somewhat important,” while just seventeen percent stated that it is “not too or not at all” relevant.

A margin of error of plus or minus 1.5 percentage points was present for the survey, which was carried out from November 12th to November 17th among 9,609 respondents.
