Donald Trump, the incoming president, stated that Bill Gates, the co-founder of Microsoft, requested a visit to his club in Florida, Mar-a-Lago, on Friday evening.
As a result of Trump’s post on the platform, a number of significant corporations in the automotive and technology industries have either committed to making contributions to the inaugural fund of the president-elect or have already done so.
“Where are you? When are you coming to the “Center of the Universe,” Mar-a-Lago. Bill Gates asked to come, tonight. We miss you and x! New Year’s Eve is going to be AMAZING!!! DJT” Trump wrote on his Truth Social platform.
These corporations include Toyota, Ford, Amazon, Meta, OpenAI, and others.
Additionally, a number of leaders from the IT industry have already met with President Trump in Florida.
Their goal is, in part, to cultivate a more positive relationship with the Republican, as his administration is scheduled to begin in late January.
In the past, Gates has expressed his disapproval of President Trump, particularly with regard to the rhetoric he has used about foreign policy and the way his government has dealt with the COVID-19 outbreak.
However, the co-founder of Microsoft extended his congratulations to Trump on his victory over Vice President Harris in November, despite the fact that he had endorsed the Democratic nominee and reportedly contributed fifty million dollars to a political action committee (PAC) that was affiliated with Harris.
In addition, Harris received support from his ex-wife, Melinda French Gates, with regard to his bid for the presidency in 2024.
In December of 2016, Gates, a billionaire in the technology industry, spoke with Trump in New York City.
