James Carville Blasts Dems for Continued Use of ‘NPR Language’

James Carville, a seasoned Democratic strategist, reportedly criticized the “NPR language” that he claimed his party members employed in his assessment of the reasons why Vice President Harris lost the November election.

During an interview with The Hill’s “Rising” on Friday, Carville stated that, despite the fact that Harris did not employ that language during the campaign, the general use of it by Democrats in the past remained in the minds of voters.

“If you noticed, [Harris] talked about if somebody breaks into her house, she’s gonna shoot them. She didn’t use any of that NPR language, which is so devastating to Democrats.” James Carville.

Niall Stanage, the co-host, observed that Carville is opposed to the use of the terms “woke” or “wokeness.” However, “NPR language” is a term that denotes language that was previously considered “politically correct.”

Carville cited the terms “Latinx” and “Defund the police” as terms that had previously been used by some Democrats to create an enduring memory in the minds of voters when they went to the polls. These terms were used in reference to police and criminal justice reform.

“What you look for with politics revolves around things we call sticky, things that you remember, like ‘Defund the police,’ three stupidest words in the history of the English language. But it stuck.” Carville said.

“Some of this is just so idiotic that it defies imagination that people live like this. Can you imagine a majority Black city. If I saw three Black guys on a street corner, and I said, ‘Good morning fellas. How are things in the community of color today?’ they wouldn’t know what I was talking about.” he added.

“It’s very counterproductive,” Carville concluded.
