Trump Vows to Reveal Truth About Drone Sightings

The drone sightings in New Jersey in December reportedly sparked a lot of interest from the public and media, but the federal government provided few answers.

President-elect Donald Trump vowed to issue a report on the sightings one day into his presidency.

Federal agencies and administration officials neglected to offer information while rumors circulated about who or what was in charge of the airplane, ranging from aliens to a covert Chinese government operation.

Officials at the time tried to reassure citizens that the drones did not represent a security threat and called for public calm, without providing specifics.

Ahead of his second term, Trump hosted the country’s Republican governors at Mar-a-Lago in Florida on Thursday after attending the burial of former President Jimmy Carter.

Following his speech, Fox News reporter Peter Doocy asked the president-elect questions regarding the drone issue.

Trump pledged to provide the people with some answers when Doocy questioned him about the drone incidents.

“A story that kind of disappeared very suddenly – do you any idea whatever happened to the drones?” Peter Doocy asked Trump

“What happened to drones?” Trump echoed.

“Well, you said you knew– you thought the government knew what was happening with these drones over New Jersey. There were some by Bedminster–” Doocy said.

“I don’t know. They’re all over Bedminster a lot. I’m going to give you a report on drones about one day into the administration because I think it’s ridiculous that they’re not telling you about what’s going on with the drones… Peter, thank you very much. Does Biden do – I mean does he do this kind of a news conference?” Trump stated.
