At a news conference held on Wednesday evening, Attorney General Pam Bondi made the announcement that the Department of Justice is going to file a lawsuit against the various Democrats in the state of New York for alleged measures they have taken to shield illegal aliens.
“We’re here today because we have filed charges against the state of New York. We have filed charges against Kathy Hochul. We have filed charges against Leticia James and Mark Schroeder, who is with DMV.” Bondi announced during the recent press conference.
“This is a new DOJ, and we are taking steps to protect Americans. New York has chosen to prioritize illegal aliens over American citizens. It stops. It stops today.” she continued.
“Law enforcement officers do not have access to their background, and if these great men and women pull over someone and don’t have access to their background, they have no idea who they’re dealing with. And it puts their lives on the line every single day.” Bondi added.
“Violent criminals, gang members, drug traffickers, human smugglers, will no longer terrorize the American people, and that is why we are here today. You will be held accountable if you do not follow federal law. It’s over, it ends, and we’re coming after you.” she concluded.
Bondi brought attention to the threat that is posed by the millions of illegal immigrants who have surged into communities in the United States, bringing with them the drugs and violence that they bring with them.
Bondi’s words were delivered in a manner that was extremely aggressive, and she issued a warning that any state that does not comply with federal law will be “next.”
Bondi stated that she is convinced that she will prevail in her fight against any state or official who does not comply, and she is willing to take the fight all the way up to the Supreme Court.
In addition, she did not rule out the prospect that criminal charges could be made in the future, which is something that Border Czar Tom Homan has suggested in the most recent weeks.
