Kamala Harris, the former vice president, will reportedly receive the NAACP’s Chairman’s Award, which recognizes those who allegedly excel in public service and use their special platforms to spark and propel significant change.
The honor will be given out on February 22 during the NAACP Image Awards.

It is with great honor that we present her with the Chairman’s Award at this year’s NAACP Image Awards, celebrating her relentless dedication to justice, equality, and the betterment of our society. Her legacy is built on courage, compassion, and a profound commitment to uplifting those who need it most. Her tireless advocacy for the most vulnerable among us has made her a beacon of hope and progress,” Leon W. Russell, chair of the NAACP National Board of Directors remarked.

VP Harris reminds us all that when black women lead, the entire nation rises.” NAACP president and CEO Derrick Johnson added.
There are many far-left figures who have received the Chairman’s Award, such as former President Barack Obama, former Vice President Al Gore, Ron Brown, the Secretary of Commerce under Bill Clinton, U.S. Congressman John Lewis, Congressman Bennie G. Thompson, and Congresswoman Maxine Waters. Neither Justice Clarence Thomas of the Supreme Court nor renowned conservative economist Thomas Sowell have ever received it.
