Tom Homan, Director of the United States Border Patrol, reportedly made an appearance on Newsmax on Monday and blasted Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, a Democratic representative from New York, for her opposition to the actions of the United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).
Rob Finnerty, the host, discussed how Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez provided undocumented immigrants with guidance on how to avoid being arrested by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).
In response to her remarks regarding a recent operation carried out by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) in Chicago, Homan stated on “Finnerty” that local authorities had notified the community about their legal safeguards prior to the operation beginning.
“She’s the dumbest Congresswoman ever who was let into Congress, and she proves that every day. And look, bottom line is I can’t believe any member of Congress, Republican, Democrat, independent, would want to educate criminal illegal aliens who are in the country illegally, been convicted of a violent crime and have been ordered removed by an immigration judge after due process at great taxpayer expense,” Homan said.
Ocasio-Cortez was further questioned for the possibility that she was providing assistance to persons who posed a threat to public safety.
He suggested that her activities might unwittingly help violent criminals.
“You got a congresswoman that does not want ICE to do the job that Congress has mandated them to do and funds them to do. She doesn’t want ICE to enforce the laws they enacted, and what the hell is Congress doing? They can spend their time doing better things, rather than writing laws they didn’t want us to enforce,” Homan remarked.
According to Homan, the Trump administration is currently concentrating its efforts on criminalizing those who are a threat to the safety of the general public and the nation’s security.
