MSNBC Host Turns on Dems for Feeble Protest During Trump Speech

MSNBC host Symone Sanders-Townsend reportedly criticized House Democrats for their protest during President Trump’s congressional address, comparing their use of signs to a game of bingo.

As Democratic lawmakers displayed signs that read phrases like “False,” “Save Medicaid,” and “Musk Steals,” Sanders-Townsend took to social media to express her disappointment, stating that the protest did not seem effective.

She remarked that the signs felt awkward and ineffective, likening the scene to a bingo game, and suggested that this approach would not help Democrats regain control of the House.

“Why are democrats just sitting there? The signs are not landing. It is giving bingo! Sigh,” she remarked.

Sanders-Townsend further argued that Democratic leadership had hindered their members by not allowing them to express their dissent more effectively.

Support for her assessment came from some members of the Trump administration, including former deputy assistant Alex Pfeiffer, who acknowledged her observations.

White House special assistant Harrison Fields humorously added that comparing the protest to bingo was an insult to the game itself.

During the address, one notable incident involved Rep. Al Green from Texas, who was escorted out for repeatedly heckling Trump and refusing to take his seat.

Another Democrat, Rep. Melanie Stansbury from New Mexico, displayed her own sign that read, “This is NOT normal,” as Trump entered the chamber.

Ultimately, many House Democrats left the room en masse towards the end of Trump’s speech after spending the majority of the address seated in protest.
