Second Lady Usha Vance to Lead American Delegation to Special Olympics

Usha Vance, the Second Lady of the United States, is reportedly now set to lead a presidential delegation to the 2025 Special Olympics Winter Games in Turin, Italy.

This delegation aims to support approximately 1,500 Special Olympic athletes and their families from around the world as they participate in various events, including skating, snowboarding, and floorball, all in pursuit of Olympic gold.

In a press release, it was announced that Usha Vance plans to attend several key events, including the Special Olympics Opening Ceremony.

The delegation will return to the U.S. on March 10, 2025. The group includes notable figures such as Fox News host Rachel Campos-Duffy, Deputy Assistant to the President T.H. Trent Michael Morse, and other officials from the U.S. Embassy in Italy.

Usha Vance, who has been married to Vice President JD Vance for 11 years, is dedicated to highlighting the achievements of Special Olympic athletes.

Recently, the Vance family gained attention during a trip to France, where their five-year-old son, Vivek, captured the spotlight while visiting the newly restored Notre Dame Cathedral.

The family was in Paris for an international summit focused on artificial intelligence, where JD Vance emphasized the importance of viewing AI as an opportunity rather than a risk.

Social media users have expressed admiration for the Vance family’s efforts to maintain a normal family life despite their public roles.

Many found joy in the candid moments shared online, showcasing the lively interactions between the children and their parents.

As Usha Vance prepares for the Special Olympics, her involvement underscores the administration’s commitment to supporting athletes with intellectual disabilities and celebrating their accomplishments on an international stage.
