In the first quarter of 2025, Fox News reportedly reached a milestone by accumulating over 1.2 billion views on YouTube, marking its most successful quarter to date.
This impressive figure represents a 26% increase compared to the previous quarter of 2024, solidifying Fox News’s dominance over its competitors, including CNN and MSNBC, by hundreds of millions of views.
MSNBC garnered 945 million views, while CNN trailed with 489 million.
The network’s success on YouTube was complemented by its performance on other social media platforms.
In January 2025 alone, Fox News reported over 121 million unique visitors, with interactions across platforms such as TikTok (29.6 million), Meta’s Facebook (21.4 million), Instagram (34 million), and X (formerly Twitter), where it achieved 5 million interactions.
Fox News Business also excelled, achieving 326 million views on YouTube in the same quarter, significantly outpacing rivals like CNBC, which received just under 90 million views, and Bloomberg, with nearly 30 million.
Notably, January 2025 was Fox News’s second most viewed month ever on the platform, with only November 2024, the month of the elections, surpassing it.
Despite Fox News’s overall success, it was noted that NBC News outperformed Fox on TikTok, receiving over a billion views that same month.
This data illustrates the competitive landscape of news networks on digital platforms, with Fox News maintaining a strong lead in YouTube views while also showcasing the growing significance of social media interactions in audience engagement.
This quarter’s exceptional performance reaffirms Fox News’s influential position in the media landscape.
