The Daily Wire and conservative commentator Candace Owens have now reportedly ended their association, as confirmed by CEO Jeremy Boreing.
“Daily Wire and Candace Owens have ended their relationship,” the CEO of the company announced on X.
Owens’s decision to leave the company follows a period of strained relations with Ben Shapiro, co-founder of the Daily Wire, due to her endorsement of several anti-Semitic conspiracy theories.
Following the October 7 terrorist attack on Israel and the outbreak of war in the Gaza Strip, Owens swiftly became a vocal opponent of Israel’s military actions, highlighting alleged instances of religious segregation in Jerusalem.
In November, Boreing emphasized that Owens was compensated for sharing her perspective, and as long as her viewpoint remained within legal boundaries and contractual terms, she would be “welcome at Daily Wire.”
Owens shared her thoughts on her departure from X shortly after Boreing’s announcement, expressing her sense of liberation and inviting contributions.
