A recent poll released on Tuesday indicates a shift in favorability among Latinos, with former President Trump seeing an increase while President Biden’s popularity has declined.
According to a recent survey by Axios/Ipsos, there has been a noticeable decline in Biden’s favorability among Latinos. His approval rating has dropped by 6 points, going from 47 percent in June 2023 to 41 percent last month.
In the same time period, there was a slight increase in Trump’s favorability among Latinos, rising from 29 percent to 32 percent.
In addition to Vice President Harris and former U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley, the poll also assessed the favorability of other prominent American political figures. Haley recently withdrew from the GOP presidential race, adding to the significance of the findings.
According to the poll, there has been a slight decrease in Harris’s favorability among Latinos, dropping from 42 percent to 39 percent. On the other hand, Haley’s favorability has seen a modest increase, rising from 18 percent to 25 percent.
In a recent campaign ad, Biden’s reelection team targeted the Latino community, highlighting Trump’s past controversial remarks about immigrants.
These comments, including his claim that they were “poisoning the blood” of America, were brought into sharp focus.

The percentage dropped from 56 percent in June to 55 percent in March.
According to the survey, participants expressed their highest concerns regarding inflation (35 percent), crime and violence (34 percent), and immigration (28 percent) leading up to the upcoming November election.

Specifically, 36 percent of Latinos felt that Democrats better represented their interests, compared to 32 percent who believed the same about Republicans.
