Arkansas Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders (R) predicted Thursday that former President Donald Trump will “win big” in the 2016 presidential election.
Sanders, who was the White House press secretary throughout Trump’s administration, has long supported him.
“I still think this is his race, he has clearly been the front-runner since the day he announced. And he has not lost that status, whether it was in the primary or the general, and I fully expect that he’s gonna win, and win big in November,” Sanders said during a recent appearance on Fox News.
She has already expressed a lack of interest in going through the vetting process to be his vice presidential pick.
According to The Hill/Decision Desk HQ’s average of surveys, Trump leads Biden nationally by 0.6 percentage points, with 44.5 percent support to the current president’s 43.9 percent.
The two presidents will have their first debate next week on CNN.
