On Tuesday, Senator JD Vance (R-OH) slammed Vice President Kamala Harris while on the campaign trail, mocking her abrupt transition from the most liberal incumbent U.S. senator to advocating for Trump policies such as a secure border and no taxes on tips.
“I read a story this morning that her advisers are considering just copying all of Donald Trump’s policies. They’re more popular. In fact, I’ve heard that for her debate in just a couple of weeks, she’s going to put on a navy suit, a long red tie, and adopt the slogan,’Make America Great Again.’” Vance said.
Vance, who is currently running for vice president alongside former President Donald Trump, made a joke with an audience in Grand Rapids, Michigan, about Harris’ apparent propensity to announce her own “new” policy that mirrors Trump’s policy after waiting to see how it is received.
During a speech on the economy in mid-August, the former president also referenced Harris’ propensity to imitate him.
