Bill O’Reilly Now Claims He Doesn’t Believe ‘Obama was a Bad President at All’

Bill O’Reilly recently participated in a segment on NewsNation entitled “Bill O’Reilly’s Confronting the Presidents: America’s Best and Worst,” during which he expressed a surprising admiration for former President Obama.

“I don’t think Obama was a bad president at all. In fact, you could put him in the good category because he uplifted a portion of the population that needed to be uplifted, people of color,” O’Reilly said during the interview.

He was previously quoted as stating that the 44th president was the most diligent and hardworking president in modern history.

“We were very fair to Barack Obama in ‘Confronting the Presidents’. We had a good relationship with Obama. I knew what he was doing it, and why he was doing it. And he wasn’t, in his mind, or in my mind, damaging the country,” O’Reilly shared candidly about his new book. “I didn’t think he was damaging the country at all. Obama is the hardest working modern president.” he continued.

The remarks comes as somewhat of a surprise as O’Reilly has been known for his long opposition to Obama style liberalism.

The journalist also discussed the staples of his new book, “Confronting the Presidents: No Spin Assessments from Washington to Biden,” and other past presidents in the interview with NewsNation, which is scheduled to broadcast on Sept. 15 at 9 p.m. EDT, in addition to his comments on the current political climate.
