A freshly minted New York Times poll conducted subsequent to Taylor Swift’s endorsement of Vice President Kamala Harris now indicates that she has a lower favorability rating among voters than former President Donald Trump.
According to a poll conducted by the New York Times, Philadelphia Inquirer, and Siena College between September 11 and September 16, Swift was regarded favorably by only 44% of Americans.
Thirty-four percent of Americans harbor an unfavorable opinion of Swift, while twenty-two percent are uncertain about their feelings toward the renowned musician.
The highest opinion of Swift was held by Democrats, with 70%, followed by independents at 41%, and Republicans at a mere 23%.
Swift has a lower favorability rating among American voters than Trump, according to the same poll.
While 48% of Americans have a favorable opinion of Harris, 47% of Americans have a favorable opinion of Trump.
On Sunday, Trump publicly criticized Swift for endorsing Harris, stating in a post on Truth Social, “I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT!!!!”
In her statement, in which she officially endorsed Harris for president, Swift also praised Harris’s VP Tim Walz, referring to him as a champion of “LGBTQ+ rights, IVF, and a woman’s right to her own body.”
