Eric Hovde, the Wisconsin Senate candidate, has now reportedly stated that he would unquestionably support the proposal of former President Donald Trump to prohibit males from participating in women’s athletics. He emphasized that this issue was a significant concern for parents in the Badger State.
The Biden administration’s re-writing of Title IX, which permits males who identify as transgender to enter female bathrooms, locker rooms, and sports teams, has caused great concern among Wisconsin parents, according to Hovde, who is currently in a tight campaign with Democratic Senator Tammy Baldwin.
“There’s no question that parents are upset when they’re learning that this is being pushed on their school districts and the Department of Education is saying that they are going to deprive them of funds. If you’re a parent you don’t want your daughters having guys going into their bathrooms and locker rooms. And the girls don’t want that.” Hovde said.
During a Fox News town hall this week, he expressed his willingness to endorse Trump’s proposal to prohibit males from participating in female sports teams.
Hovde observed that the act of permitting males to contend against females was perilous and contradicted biological reality.
“Look, my youngest daughter was the female athlete of the year in the state of Wisconsin in 2017. She was a freak athlete. And to think we would allow boys to compete in her sports, it’s crazy. A male after they go through puberty has more muscle mass, [is] quicker and bigger, and could become dangerous.” he remarked.
In 2017, Hovde’s daughter was selected as the Wisconsin State Journal/WisconsinPrepZone.com All-Area Girls Athlete of the Year for her involvement in basketball, tennis, and soccer.
Hovde has previously targeted Baldwin in campaign advertisements regarding the issue, as he has opposed measures to prevent males from participating in women’s athletics.
Additionally, Hovde’s campaign recently released two campaign advertisements that accused Baldwin of being “in bed with Wall Street” in light of the conflict of interest allegations surrounding her relationship with New York wealth management advisor Maria Brisbane.
Baldwin and Brisbane are accused by numerous Wisconsin electors of living extravagantly, while the residents of Wisconsin endure high inflation and illegal immigration.
Hovde was alluding to the fact that Baldwin is a member of a Senate committee that supervises the National Institutes of Health (NIH), which allocates millions of dollars to biotechnology companies.
Additionally, Brisbane’s professional experience as a wealth management advisor, which includes managing a biotechnology mutual fund and advocating for investments in small biotech companies, was referenced.
