Former Clinton Advisor Predicts Trump Will Win By A ‘Landslide’

A former adviser to President Bill Clinton forecasts a “landslide” win for President Donald Trump over Vice President Kamala Harris in the election.

During a chat on “The Jeff Katz Show” on Thursday, Dick Morris said he expects an “absolute wipeout.”

“I think Trump is going to win, and I don’t think it’s going to be that close,” he revealed. “I think he’ll win the popular vote narrowly, but that will translate into an electoral landslide.”

Morris said that in 2016, Trump beat Hillary Clinton in what he called a total “wipeout,” despite the former Secretary of State winning the popular vote by 2.6%.

“I think that’s what’s going to happen here,” he noted. “I think Trump is going to carry all of the swing states, with the possible exception of Wisconsin.”

Morris anticipates that Trump will dominate in Georgia, Arizona, Nevada, Michigan, and Pennsylvania.

“Trump will pick up a few surprises, like maybe Virginia and maybe Minnesota,” he said to Katz.

“With those kinds of numbers, I think Trump is going to win about 360 electoral votes, and Harris is going to win about 100 electoral votes. So it’ll be an absolute wipeout.”

Katz questioned Morris if Trump’s victories would extend to Republicans running for Congress.

“I think he’ll clearly keep the House and probably add five or 10 seats to the margin,” he responded. “And in the Senate race, I see him obviously picking up West Virginia, which is kind of the given, and Montana, which looks very safe. And then Ohio looks like he could win it,”

Morris noted positive polling data for Trump in Michigan and Wisconsin but wasn’t sure of victories there.

He explained that the Senate races show Democratic incumbents under 50%, indicating possible dissatisfaction from the public.

Many Senate contests are tight, but with Democratic incumbents struggling, Morris believes Republicans could gain five to six seats.

“If Trump wins, we’ve got control even if we don’t pick up another seat, even if we lose West Virginia,” Morris pointed out, highlighting Trump’s vice-presidential choice, Sen. JD Vance, would obviously vote Republican.
